Supply chain management (SCM) is a critical aspect of any organization's operations, as it involves the coordination of activities and resources to deliver goods and services to customers. With the increasing globalization of trade and the proliferation of information and communication technologies (ICTs), the use of information technology (IT) in SCM has become essential for organizations to remain competitive and efficient. Technology advancements have led to many changes in businesses and industries, from grocery stores to manufacturing plants. The present-day supply chain is complex, and despite its advanced nature, finding out more about it can be difficult. The objective of this research is to examine the role of IT in improving the management of supply chains and to propose a model for the effective use of IT in SCM.
